New Zealand Defeats Pakistan by 60 Runs in Champions Trophy Debut

The match saw a astonishing catch from Phillip’s side that led to Muhammad Rizwan’s dismissal, bringing the score to 22-2 post power play. Salman Ali Agha took charge of the scoring but scored only 42 runs from 28 balls before getting out.
Babar Azam built a solid innings but fell to the hands of Mitchell Santner at 64 runs. Khushdil Shah on the other hand gave Pakistan some hope when he scored 69 runs of 49 balls, but his wicket also practically ended the game for Pakistan. Ultimately, New Zealand ended the match by bowling Pakistan all out at the score of 260 in the first match of the tournament.
